Meet Bas Linse

Meet Bas Linse. Connecting Engineering, Production and Customers.

Bas has been part of Thermo Electric for 23 years and currently works as Technical Manager. He started his career in an engineering role and gradually grew into his current position, gaining broad experience across the organisation along the way.

What Bas enjoys most in his role is the interaction with customers and his position as the central link between engineering, production, sales, and the customer. He likes being the person who brings things together, stepping in where needed and making sure processes run smoothly.

On a daily basis, Bas focuses on keeping the engineering department running efficiently, while also ensuring that production processes are carried out correctly and effectively. Clear communication, technical knowledge, social skills, and flexibility are essential in his role, especially since he works closely with all departments within the company.

One of his biggest challenges is ensuring that the entire process flows neatly through the organisation, while staying within agreed frameworks and consistently delivering quality.

Outside of work, Bas enjoys speciality beers and spending time at the korfball field, where his daughters play. From time to time, he also takes on a coaching role. When it comes to travel, Bas keeps it simple. He enjoys any holiday, regardless of the destination.

His advice to anyone new in the field is clear and realistic:
