Meet Tom Noordermeer: Building Commercial Skills and Long-Term Relationships at Thermo Electric.
Tom joined Thermo Electric in June 2024 as a Sales Engineer, a role that felt familiar from day one. In earlier years, Tom worked in production during the summer, which gave him a strong understanding of the company and its products before stepping into a commercial role.
His advice to anyone new to the role or industry is simple but effective:
Talk to as many people as possible and really listen to how their processes work.
What motivates Tom most is helping Thermo Electric continue to grow. He is keen to develop a strong commercial drive, something he believes is best learned in practice. With a solid foundation already in place, he is focused on building experience, confidence, and long-term value for both customers and the organisation.
Outside of work, Tom is passionate about football and still plays. One of his favourite travel experiences was a trip to Curaçao, and he hopes to visit South Africa and Japan in the future.
Looking ahead, Tom is currently completing a Master’s in Management and has ambitions to follow this with an MBA, continuing to invest in his personal and professional development.
